KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee posted a slight gain against the US dollar in the inter-bank market on Friday, ending the day at 278.41 after appreciating by one paisa. The local currency had closed at 278.42 on Thursday. Meanwhile, the US dollar remained on course for a weekly rise in global markets, supported by increased demand for safe-haven assets amid tensions in the Gulf region.
