The benchmark KSE-100 Index rose by 1,291.15 points, closing at 162,226.28, up from 160,935.13 in the previous session, reflecting a gain of 0.80 percent. During the day, the index fluctuated between a low of 161,279.02 and a high of 162,741.73 before finishing significantly higher.
