The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has given its in-principle approval to legalise digital currencies, though a formal regulatory framework is still under development. This was disclosed by Acting Deputy Governor Dr. Inayat Hussain during a briefing to the Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue on Wednesday.
