KARACHI: The rupee extended its gains against the US dollar in the inter-bank market last week, appreciating by Re0.25, or 0.09%.
According to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the local currency closed at 282.47 against the greenback, compared to 282.72 a week earlier. The SBP also reported that overseas workers’ remittances reached $3.2 billion in July 2025.
