The Pakistani rupee continued its upward trend on Wednesday, appreciating by 0.04% to close at 282.95 in the inter-bank market, up from 283.05 a day earlier. The recent crackdown on black market dollar trading has helped strengthen the rupee, though traders report that unofficial currency dealings have adapted by shifting to digital platforms and home deliveries. Since the launch of the crackdown, the rupee has recovered from a significant dip earlier in July.
