KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee posted a slight decline against the US dollar on Tuesday, slipping by 0.01% during intraday trading.
By the day’s end, the local currency closed at 282.21 against the greenback, marking a depreciation of Re0.04.In the previous session held on Thursday, the rupee had settled at 282.17…. per dollar. The currency market remained closed from Friday to Monday due to Eid holidays
On the global front, the US dollar strengthened on Tuesday amid ongoing trade negotiations between Washington and Beijing. The uncertainty surrounding the talks kept investors cautious ahead of a key US inflation report scheduled later in the week.
