KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee depreciated by 0.07% against the US dollar on Thursday.
At the close of trading, the local currency stood at 282.67, down by Re0.20 compared to the previous day.
On Wednesday, the rupee had closed at Rs282.47 against the greenback.
Globally, the US dollar weakened on Thursday amid growing expectations of Federal Reserve rate cuts and emerging signals that President Donald Trump might take a more conciliatory approach in trade negotiations.
