Nepra Approves Rs 24.5 Billion Refund for Power Consumers

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has approved a refund of Rs 24.5 billion, equivalent to Rs 1.7856 per unit, for electricity consumers nationwide — including those of K-Electric — under the monthly Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) for July 2025. However, this relief will not apply to lifeline consumers.

The Pakistani rupee posted another week of gains, appreciating by Re0.12, or 0.04 percent, against the US dollar in the inter-bank market.
