KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange continued its upward momentum for the third week in a row, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index climbing 4,348 points, or 3.1 percent, to a record closing high of 145,383.
During the week, the index also hit an all-time intraday peak of 146,813 points before mild profit-taking on Friday pared some gains, as investors opted to lock in profits ahead of the weekend. Market activity stayed robust, with average daily volumes on the ready board rising 16.3 percent to 653 million shares, while the traded value surged over 30 percent to $165.5 million.
