KARACHI: Pakistan’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves recorded a modest rise of $277 million during the past week.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) weekly report released on Thursday, the country’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves reached $16.875 billion as of June 6, 2025, up from $16.598 billion on May 30, 2025.
The SBP’s own reserves increased by $167 million, rising from $11.509 billion to $11.676 billion. Meanwhile, commercial banks also saw a slight uptick in their net foreign reserves, which rose by $110 million to $5.199 billion from $5.089 billion the previous week.
