ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s economy posted a 2.4 percent growth in the third quarter (January–March) of fiscal year 2024–25, according to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) on Tuesday.
This GDP growth came despite a 1.14 percent contraction in the industrial sector during the same period, as revealed during the 113th meeting of the National Accounts Committee (NAC).
The downturn in the industrial sector was largely driven by negative growth in mining, quarrying, and large-scale manufacturing.
