Dollar East has a rich history of Corporate Social Responsibility. It actively participates in and generously contributes to community welfare activities. It is committed to improving the lives of the impoverished people in the society. It is ploughed back into meaningful welfare-driven initiatives that make a qualitative difference to the lives of marginalized people.
Dollar East Exchange Company has major contributions towards the CSR initiatives. In the tragic earthquake of 2005, Dollar East helped the homeless victims of Mansehra and Balakot. Also in the 2010 disastrous floods, and stood for the flood victims in the time of need and extended support to the poor people of Kot Addu and Muzaffargarh who lost everything in the floods. The company also provides financial aid and scholarships to the deserving students at different institutions of Pakistan so that talented students can continue their studies despite the shortage of finances.
Roshni Homes Trust is a CSR initiative of the Dollar East. It is community welfare project and a model charitable institution which provides best education, motherly care and home like environment to orphans and children without parental care. These charitable initiatives are bringing qualitative improvement in the lives of destitute members of the society.
The GIFT University in Gujranwala, which is the only Chartered University in the region between Lahore and Islamabad, was established in 2002. The University strictly adheres to the policy that no talented student is deprived of the right to higher education due to lack of finances.
