During the preceding week, the rupee maintained its upward trend, posting a slight appreciation of Re0.10 or 0.04 percent against the US dollar in the inter-bank market. According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the local currency ended the week at 280.52 compared with the prior closing of 280.62.
