KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) ended Tuesday’s session in negative territory as strong selling pressure, mainly driven by profit-taking from local institutions, outweighed early gains.
Continuing the bearish momentum from the previous day, the benchmark KSE-100 Index dropped by 1,578.66 points, or 0.94 percent, closing at 166,173.75 points compared to 167,752.41 points in the prior session. During the day, the index touched an intraday high of 168,518.97 points and a low of 165,997.21 points, reflecting a volatile trading session dominated by profit-taking activity.
