KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee posted a slight gain against the US dollar on Friday, appreciating by 0.04% in the inter-bank market.
The local currency closed at 284.46, up by Re0.10 from the previous day’s close of 284.56.
Meanwhile, the US dollar strengthened globally amid renewed concerns over global trade disruptions, following former US President Donald Trump’s announcement of additional tariffs and plans to impose blanket duties of 15% to 20% on most trading partners.
