KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee posted a slight gain against the US dollar in the interbank market on Thursday, appreciating by 0.03%.
The local currency closed at 283.86, up by Re0.09 from Wednesday’s closing rate of 283.95.
Globally, the US dollar showed signs of weakness following a trade agreement between the United States and Vietnam, which boosted hopes for more such deals ahead of the July 9 tariff deadline. Meanwhile, investors awaited upcoming payroll data to gauge the Federal Reserve’s next monetary policy move.
