Forex Reserve reserves breach $17 billion level

KARACHI: Pakistan’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves surpassed the $17 billion mark by the end of last week, according to the latest data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

As of June 13, 2025, the country’s total reserves stood at $17.005 billion—an increase of $129 million from the previous week’s level of $16.875 billion recorded on June 6.

During the period under review, SBP’s own reserves rose by $46 million, reaching $11.722 billion compared to $11.676 billion a week earlier. At the same time, reserves held by commercial banks climbed by $83 million to $5.283 billion.
