Branchless banking is the delivery of financial services to customers outside conventional bank branches, often using agents and relying on information and communications technologies to transmit transaction details – typically card-reading point-of-sale (POS) terminals or mobile phones. Pakistan is one of the fastest developing markets for Branchless Banking in the World. Branchless Banking regulation was first introduced in Pakistan in April 2008 by SBP. In the first quarter of the financial year 2020-21 there were 58.14 million branchless banking accounts in Pakistan.
In order to provide convenience to its valued customers, Dollar East Exchange has made arrangements with and 1Link to offer branchless banking services. The services offered under branchless banking include collection of utility bills.
